I knew before ordering that this cleaner was formulated with ingredients like jojoba oil, coconut oil, and lemon oil, so when I opened the box and saw the bottle had leaked, you can imagine what I was thinking. Thankfully, it wasn't a huge oily mess (the bottle is so small), but my bottle arrived about half empty, which was disappointing.
The cleaner does work and helped clean up my shoes. It improved their appearance, but it didn't get them back to looking brand new 100%. My favorite part of the kit is actually the scrub brush. It's comfortable to hold, works well, and I'll continue using it even with other shoe cleaners if it holds up.
At $7.99, I think the price is fair for a basic shoe cleaning kit, but receiving only about half the cleaner definitely takes away from the value.

My current favorite pair of shoes are white fabric 'barefoot' style. Keeping them clean would require a lot of effort or putting them through the washer more often than I would like. This kit is going to make my life much easier. Being able to gently apply cleaning solution and spot cleaning exactly where needed is a big relief.
My husband cleans his gym shoes daily so that's the original reason I got this however I wanted to try to see what this could do for a pair of work boots that had fuel and oil on them. I filled the scrubber bottle and I noticed a faint pleasant scent. I put the bottle on the boot and pushed down a little and the round sponge releases the solution and I start brushing in circles. After a few passes I wiped it off with a damp towel and let them dry. I did it again to see if i could get more off and it really did work. They don't look brand new and shiny but this stuff worked really well considering I wasn't cleaning just regular dirt and grime. The only issue I have is that the little sponge got a rip in it and they don't give you extras and it won't work without that part. It's a rather small bottle but I scored the refill bottle that they have so thankfully you can get refills. The smaller bottle will still clean a plenty of shoes tho. The plastic scrubber bottle is a little flimsy but it did manage to hold up when I was scrubbing the boots but I'm not sure it'll last thru dozens of uses but time will tell so I won't be completely negative about that. I'd say it's a pretty good value and it also works.

Very helpful for muddy boots!
This cleaner really came in handy for some very dirty riding boots that I had to clean every day. First, I had to remove the large pieces of mud, of course, by wiping them as clean as I could. Then, you fill the reservoir with part water and part of the cleaning solution. When you push down the center pad, it releases some of the solution onto the shoes so you can scrub. It worked to some extent but it is so gentle on your shoes so that it won't scratch them up with the soft brushes that I still had to use a lot of effort to clean. Also, I had to rinse off the brush several times during cleaning or it would just spread the dirt around. It wasn't perfect, but it was nice to have around to do cleaning before the actual shoe polish.

I was really looking forward to restoring my favorite sneakers using this comprehensive shoe cleaning kit. Having a versatile set designed to safely tackle grime on leather, suede, canvas, mesh, and rubber is something any shoe lover values. Unfortunately, my experience was cut short before I could properly evaluate its performance. Upon receiving it, the bottle had leaked its cleaning solution all over the kit. Because so much of the liquid was lost in the plastic bag, I was unable to use the product effectively or test it across different materials. While the concept and the included brush seem well-suited for sneaker maintenance, I couldn't test the effectiveness of the formula itself. Hopefully, better bottle sealing can prevent this from happening to future buyers.
